Gray, Maine- Wildlife Park

Last Saturday I went on a road trip with some international students to a wildlife park in Gray, Maine. The trip was sponsored by a program called International Students, INC. where local people here "adopt" international students and host events for them and have them over for dinner, things like that. It's a really cool program! At church one Sunday,I met a woman named Lian who is a graduate student here and she's from China. She invited me to go on this trip, then at the last minute she couldn't make it so I went along anyway, and ended up knowing some people =] The park was very similar to Irvine Park in Chippewa, except they had more exhibits. Some of the animals I saw were: porcupine, peacocks (even a white one), a bald eagle, cougar, foxes, bears, and 2 moose! Seeing a moose has now been checked off my East Coast bucket list!
This one is by the bear exhibit: Julia is from Vancouver Canada, and then Yong again.
Here we are in front of the bear exhibit again, but you can't see the bears =[ On my left is Yong (sp?) from China, my right is Moe (that's our American name for him ;] ) from Taiwan. When I got back to campus that night, my friends Chuck and Will (who I went to Boston with) had a small party for our friends where they brought traditional French and Korean snacks for us and sang us some songs: Will on Piano, Chuck on guitar. There are some songs that we used to sing in church where we all knew the song! Will sang French, Chuck sang in Korean, and we all sang in English, it was so cool! =] Last, but not least, after the party my CA Victoria and I went to the carnival in our campus parking lot and went on the Gravitron..weirdest experience ever. If you've never ridden it, I suggest trying!
